Important
May Meeting Update -
Due to a
conflict with the Greenbriar Room, our May meeting will be held
this Friday on the second floor of the Greenbelt Municipal
Center, 25 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
Our May meeting is our annual legislative wrap-up session with
our State Delegation, Senator
Paul Pinsky and Delegates
Tawanna Gaines,
Anne Healey and
Alonzo Washington. They will discuss recent legislation and
what's ahead in 2014. Also, School Board member
Peggy Higgins will share a few thoughts.
Please bring a dessert item to share with the Club during our
social hour following the meeting.

June Picnic
Our Summer Picnic is Saturday, June 8th at
Greenbelt's Schrom Hills Park (7041
Hanover Parkway) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Bring a side
dish, a salad or a dessert item. We have the meat, drinks and
condiments covered. Come and have some fun!

Baysox Game Friday, June 21st The Roosevelt Club joins the
Bowie Democratic Club to enjoy the Baysox as they take-on the
Altoona Curve, the Double-A Pittsburgh Pirates team. Game
starts at 7:05 pm in Bowie. Fireworks follow the game.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt
Democratic Club was founded in 1976 to further the principles of the
Democratic Party and to elect its candidates in general elections.
We also help to organize poll workers. For more information how you
can get involved, see the By-laws or
contact individual Officers and
Committee Chairs.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any
registered Democrat and interested individuals who are too young to
vote, no matter where you live. Membership is $5 per year from

MEETINGS
General membership meetings are
held on every third Friday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Terrace
Room, Greenbriar Community Center, 7600 Hanover Parkway
in Greenbelt, Md. (directions).
Meetings are open to the general public. See the
calendar for
more details about meeting speakers, Club activities, and Democratic
Party events in general. Meetings are rebroadcast on Greenbelt cable
channel 71B. Check times in the Greenbelt News Review.
The Executive Board are open to all
members. The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each
month year-round. The location varies. Contact the club president if
you would like to attend. |
